Power of Attorney
Power of Attorney, in Louisiana, referred to as a Mandate, refers to granting to another person the right to make decisions on your behalf when you are not able to. Conditions where this might be necessary include medical or mental incapacity or physical absence as might be the case for someone deployed on extended military duty for example. Despite the name, Power of Attorney does not necessary require that the person receiving the right is an attorney.
